My professional development for the 2014 and 2015 school year consisted of a variety of sources that were provided by Bloomfield Hills schools and outside resources such at Oakland Schools and Modern Language workshops. This year I was provided an opportunity to meet with the World Language Elementary teachers developing a curriculum using the standards for the State of Michigan. During this time we developed lesson units and daily plans into Atlas Rubicon. We created assessments that align to the curriculum. Furthermore, we developed unit vocabulary lists and support on-line learning guides for parents. Moreover, the team began sending unit progress reports home to keep the parents engaged in the elementary Spanish program. Finally, I attended several workshops that focused on engaging elementary students in learning, PBIS support ideas, and the Modern Language Workshop.

MACUL Conference-This past year, I attended the MACUL conference for instructional technology. This was a great experience that brought me a better understanding about what products are available in the classroom. The best part of the conference for me was the opening speaker. He confirmed for me that we need to give students all tools and applications in technology. We are preparing students for jobs that probably do not exist yet.
